Finally, I have a few (very few) moments to devote to blogging. My move has been crazy, but whose isn't? I stocked up on household cleaners tonight because I ran out while moving out of the other house. It reminded me that I should share a few of my favorites with you. So here they are!
You will notice that some of these are "natural" cleaners. No, I am not a hippie, granola type for the most part, although I live in that kind of town. I just love the smell of herbal-y stuff and with small kids around, I like to go natural if I can. I have had a scare with poison control before and they told me that with kids you should use cleaners that are bio-degradable because they are really not too poisonous. That convinced me! You will also notice I put my second choices because I find the Simple Green Naturals are hard to find.
My favorite dish washing detergent. (I like this or the classic Palmolive.)

I am addicted to using spray cleaner for my counters and table. I like this or the Lysol 4-in-1 spray. My favorite was Orange 409 but they don't make that anymore!

I love to keep this hand soap in the kitchen, so my kids don't use it up! It smells so great, like the aromatherapy hand soaps at Bath and Body Works, but it is cheaper and doesn't require a trip to the mall!

Oh no, I am not finished yet.....what can I say, I like my cleaning products!
I have tried a lot of dishwasher detergents, and this is by far my favorite. I love that is has the JetDry ball in the middle! So easy because there is no measuring. Perfect!

For toilets, I love this cleaner. You don't have to use very much because it is thick, and with the "cling", the bowl stays cleaner for much longer!

Next, my two favorite floor cleaning appliances.
I recently had to buy a new vacuum but was on a limited budget. I researched and found this:

It is the Bissell PowerForce Turbo Vacuum. I bought it at Wal-Mart for around $65. I LOVE IT! All the filters are washable, it has great suction and attachments, it does a great job on bare floors, and the dirt is easy to empty out. My only complaint is that it is pretty loud. That, I can handle for $65!
Now don't laugh, but I actually don't own this last one. I borrowed it from my sister-in-law to clean the large amount of wood floors in my old house when I moved. Keep in mind, I had swept, vacuumed, and mopped just a week earlier. This Hoover FloorMate took so much dirt off the floor. It washes and scrubs, it dries, and it vacuums hard floors. Believe me, as soon as I can justify it, I will be getting one of these! I thought it might be a gimmick like the Shark VX3 Sweeper which lasted me less than a year, but I was super impressed by the FloorMate!

I hope you enjoyed my cleaning list of "Must Have's". Happy cleaning, everyone!
XOXO Sarah
